3 Things Your Photographer Really Doesn’t Want You to Do on Your Wedding Day

Your photographer has one of the most important roles to play on your wedding day. They want to ensure you have the most positive experience and walk away with photos you absolutely love!

However, you need to work closely with your photographer and listen to their advice if you want to do your part to get the best photos possible.

Fortunately, the list of dos and don’ts isn’t long at all. In fact, there are actually just three major don’ts that you should know about!

  1. Don’t go nuts on the champagne

By all means, have a glass or two have champagne as you get ready and excited about the celebrations to come, but don’t overdo it. In many instances, when too much champagne starts to flow, photo schedules tend to go out the window, leaving you with not only fewer quality photos, but fewer photos in general.

  1. Don’t get a tan on the day

Having a little color on the day of your wedding can look beautiful in your photos, but it’s best not to schedule that spray tan the day before or the day of your wedding. There’s no way to know for sure whether it will look even, too dark, or if it will bleed – disaster for your white dress. Plus, the last thing you want is to look orange on your big day!

  1. Don’t attend to last-minute tasks on the day

There’s no guarantee that your wedding will go according to plan and there’s no way you can plan for every eventuality either. There will always be a few things to take care of on the day of your wedding, but this shouldn’t be on your to-do list. Basically, you want to avoid anything that will cause you undue stress as it will show up in your photos. Rather give any last-minute tasks to your wedding planner, a family member, or friend – they will be happy to help.

And if your photographer makes any other recommendations, rather hear them out than have regrets later!
