Des Moines Engagement // Anna & Dan

What a joy for us to get to document Anna and Dan’s engagement in one of their favorite spots in Des Moines, Washington.  Oh my goodness, how we love this girl.  We had to force ourselves to stop talking at her consultation because we just clicked and had so much fun!  And that made it even more exciting to get to meet Dan, who stole this girls heart and see the two of them together and interact!  And let’s not forget about Gidget!!!  Oh my.  I never mind when a puppy steals the show. We cannot wait for their upcoming wedding!

A little bit about Anna and Dan as written by Anna:
“Dan and I met online a little over 3 years ago. I had signed up for a month long subscription to Match.com just to get back into the dating scene, and Dan was my last date before I was going to get off the site. To be honest, I didn’t really want to go just because so many of my other dates had been duds, but I told myself that I’d see every opportunity out before making a decision. Plus, I’m a sucker for gingers! The second I saw him I knew I was in trouble because I thought he was so freaking adorable. Our first date was fun, and respectful, and effortless, and I couldn’t wait to go on a second date with him. And the rest is history! Over the last 3 years we have built a home that I’ve always dreamed of having. We have 2 adorable dogs (1 ferocious Pekingese named Gidget and 1 loving Golden Retriever name Lucy) and 1 newly diagnosed Diabetic cat named Bella. We also have 5 chickens, an ever growing veggie garden, and even tried our hands at bees. When we’re not working we like to take our doggies for a walk, binge watch Stranger Things and anything HGTV (that’s more for me haha), go hiking, camping, fix up our house, and have even tried making our own wine recently with grapes from our garden. While we like to go out and grab dinner and drinks, we are also definitely homebodies and love to order a Papa Murphy’s pizza, drink wine, and watch a movie that generally turns out to be pretty bad OnDemand. That’s us in a nutshell :) “
