Grande Terrace on Capitol Lake Wedding // Ashlee & Philip

Ashlee and Philip’s Grand Terrace on Capitol Lake Wedding was absolutely stunning!  These two are so in love and were so excited to be getting married that it made my job a breeze.  We had a blast wandering around the Capitol for their formal photos, then we all ran over to Starbucks for an iced beverage to cool down from the heat.  After that we were off to the venue where we all chipped in for some final decorating and a few more photos before their gorgeous ceremony!  Their reception was a party the whole night and even included a dance off between the father of the groom and the groom!!!  I had so much fun getting to be part of their beautiful wedding day.  I hope you enjoy a little sneak preview of the joy of their wedding day.

From the bride: “My good friend Erin invited me to watch her husband play in his soccer match. It was an early Sunday and I was not feeling up to doing anything but be lazy! She told me I HAD to go, so I got dressed, and I arrived half way through the 90 minute game. She nonchalantly asked me what I thought of a cute guy in a black jersey with a white “14” on the back. I told her he was way too cute and would never talk to me. Little did I know, her husband was asking him the same thing about me! (Little sneaks! Hehe) I was too nervous, and left without saying anything once the game was over. Not to long after, he messaged my friend to get my number and Facebook info. We started messaging and almost instantly set up a time to hang out. We haven’t been apart since!”

From the bride: “He proposed on my birthday! Our anniversary is June 22, and my birthday is June 28th. I was so sure he was going to ask on our fourth year together, but he knew I had an inkling and decided to trip me up. My birthday came and I had been asking for a certain camera. When we got home from running errands there was a present on the bed close to the size of the camera box. I jumped with joy but when I picked it up it knew it was way too light to actually be what I had been asking for. I sat down and opened it anyways and found a smaller (better) box inside! Of course, the water works happened, he grabbed the box and got down on one knee to ask me to marry him! I instantly said yes and give him the biggest hug and kiss! I didn’t ever get the camera, but I got something so much better!”
