Must-Have Props for Your Engagement and Wedding Shoots

Your wedding is a day when you and your partner can really let your personalities shine through. And what better way to do that than in your wedding photos.

If you’re keen on the idea of incorporating props into your shots but aren’t sure about what would work, here are a few great ideas to inspire you.

  • Confetti poppers. Take your confetti one step further by adding it to an impactful popper. Get a few people to pop them just as your photographer takes a shot of you and your partner. You could also hand them out to people during your reception for some interesting dancing photos. **Please only use for indoor locations, biodegradable or have a cleanup plan.
  • Oversized balloons. Balloons always add such a whimsical touch to your wedding day so why not use a few oversized balloons to change things up. Adding them in with your photos will add some height to your portraits too. The best part is that you’ll have a wide variety of colors and patterns to choose from too.
  • Backdrops. When people think backdrops their minds usually turn to an alter or a photo booth but backdrops can be used in other places too such as your dessert table or even your bar area. Backdrops are easy to make and you can really let your creative juices flow with this one.
  • Photo booth props. If you’re going to incorporate a photo booth into your wedding day, props are a must. You don’t have to use the usual props either. They can be absolutely anything that fits in with your wedding’s theme.
  • Wooden swings. If it fits in with your theme and there is room for it at the venue, a wooden swing can make for beautiful photos. You don’t have to buy one either as many suppliers hire them out.
  • Statement chairs. If you want to capture some unique shots of your guests during cocktail hour or your reception, why not add a few statement chairs into the mix. Plus, they’ll add some character to your wedding in general.
  • Felt boards. Want to get your guests to create messages for your photo booth? Why not ditch the chalkboards and opt for classy felt boards instead?

Your wedding photo props don’t need to cost a fortune for them to look great. It all starts with a little creativity and some inspiring ideas such as these.
