I first met Natalie and Peyton when they hired me to do portraits of them with their adorable daughter. Shortly after I saw that they had gotten engaged and secretly hoped I would hear from them. Sure enough a few weeks later I had an email from Natalie and we met for coffee to seal the deal for their wedding!
The energy and joy that these two have is simply contagious! We quickly got planning their engagement photos and were excited with the idea of an adventure shoot at a waterfall in Oregon. A few short days later we all jumped in the car and headed for The Columbia River Gorge!
We were hopeful to be able to hike down to the Oneonta Gorge to the waterfall but were unsure what the hike would look like with me trying to bring my gear all the way. It’s a very short 0.6 mile walk with a little climbing over logs. We got to where we could see the waterfall but had one pool of water left to wade through, which was the deepest! We made a plan and I basically climbed on the side of the rocks with the two of them spotting me so I didn’t fall in the waist high water! Note: don’t tell my husband any of this!!!
And WE MADE IT! They changed into dry clothes and we waited for a lull in the groupings of people and shot away! They were even so brace as to jump in! I loved their energy and enthusiasm! Then we packed up and hiked back on out!
After that we headed to Wahclella Falls, but I shall save that for another day!
