I cannot even put into words an expression of how much I loved hiking Rattlesnake Ridge with Tiffany and Bruce for their bride and groom portraits. Tiffany contacted me while she was in India and we talked over Skype about her wedding day. They would both only be in town a few weeks and so we fit in their engagement photos, bride and groom portraits and ceremony all into a few weeks!
I wish every bride was like Tiffany and was brave enough to do something epic and chance ruining her dress in exchange for the most beautiful photos. We started out the day down by the lake with fingers crossed that the grey clouds would not turn into rain. After that we hit up the woods for a few minutes and then started the trek up to the top! They told me how although they are naturally incredibly happy and smily people (I mean, just go look at their engagement photos!) they wanted this shoot to be more calm, intimate and moody. Which I totally agreed with as I think that location and the weather called for a more intimate feel. Plus, their wedding day was going to be full of joy and laughter and so it created a nice contrast in their photography.
We made it to the top and basically had the place to ourselves!! These two are a dream to photograph as they are so incredibly in love and are simply calm and relaxed. We spent about an hour at the top just playing and having fun before hiking back down before we lost light.
This shoot was simply a dream and if you follow me on Instagram you have probably been seeing me obsess over it just a little. Be sure to check back next week to see some photos from their wedding day as well but for now, enjoy this beautiful shoot.
