When the flurry and excitement of your wedding day is over, it is beautifully captured images that help you revisit the romance, emotion and spirit of an event that passes so quickly.
So, how do you choose the best wedding photographer for you? And should you hire a professional photographer?
Choose A Photographer Who Values Your dreams.
I don’t think of you as just a shot list. Instead, I invest time getting to know you and your wedding dreams. That makes all the difference. You will be more comfortable in front of my lens, and your images will have the natural, more authentic feel of true keepsakes.

Choose A Seasoned Professional Photographer
I have been doing full time wedding photography for 4 years and shooting on and off part time for 10 years. I have experienced dealing with many different lighting environments and situations. I am committed to a professional and timely response to your needs before and after the ceremony. And all assurances that every special moment of your wedding is flawlessly captured.
Why is it important to hire a Professional Seasoned Photographer?
I could probably write pages and pages on this subject but I want to keep this as short and sweet as possible and break it down into just a few points.
Experience. I have literally spent thousands of hours training, educating and photographing weddings. I have seen it all: every lighting situation, timing issue, emotional response and setting we may come across.
Equipment. I shoot with professional grade equipment. This includes shooting with multiple cameras (and back up cameras), carrying dozens of camera cards (that get replaced each year), using high quality lenses, having lighting equipment for every situation, numerous batteries for every type of gear I carry, numerous hard drives (I even backup onto a hard drive AT your wedding), online backup storage and more. This ensures the safety of your image at all times!
Emotions. This day will create so many emotions for you and your family. My job is to remain calm and do my job: capture it for you! If a friend or family member is photographing your day they may get caught up the emotion and stress of the day. Or maybe even the joy of it and get distracted interacting with others. Amateur or non-professional photographers have very little experience handling emotional moments. Investing in a professional photographer gives you peace of mind that I have dealt with this before and will remain calm and even help you remain calm.
Timing. I want to help you create a perfect flow for your wedding day and will start by helping you write out the perfect timeline. On top of that I usually know how a typical wedding day will flow. I also know how to anticipate moments like laughter or crying to be there to capture it.
Lighting. I know light and I know when I walk into a room where the best light for your photos is going to be. I also know how to use off camera or on camera lighting to assist when we are limited. I also know how to deal with shifting lighting situations.
Post Production. I spend the utmost care in making sure your images are complete. This includes going through and fine tuning them for exposure, color, contrast and even subtle photoshopping to make your day flawless. I use the best editing software to do this and provide a high quality and consistent product that is delivered in both a timely fashion and in a beautiful way!
These are just a few of the reasons why hiring a professional wedding photographer is SO important! If this hasn’t convinced you, then go talk to some of my past clients and ask them as well!
