The day is finally here when I get to share this amazing Wahclella Falls Elopement. It was an Ethereal and Organic Inspired Elopement shoot that I put together with two other amazing gals. All three of us are Washington Wedding and Elopement photographers based here in the Pacific Northwest.
First, let me tell you about this amazing couple, Jessie and Aaron. And then let me tell you how this shoot came to me.
We all did a few model calls and that is when Jessica reached out to me via Instagram. As soon as I saw their photos and her personality bubbling through her messages I knew they were the couple for our shoot. And man, I didn’t even know how perfect they would be. I couldn’t help but hug them both when I met them out of excitement and simply instantly connecting with them. We hiked to the falls and all chatted about what we do, how the shoot came about and complained about how hot it was. These two are such an amazing couple. They approach life simply and casually and yet their love and joy together is so complex. The joy I see on Jessica’s face twirling in a pretty dress in front of a waterfall with Aaron gawking at her – this is why I love my job. Words cannot effectively describe how amazing it was to get to document the love of these two together that you’ll just have to look at the photos yourself to witness it.
Casey, Jenny and myself have an unusual friendship. All 3 of us our local photographers who basically compete against one another in the wedding photography industry. And yet, we are all great friends. I’ve known Jenny for quite some time and we often have coffee dates and work on editing and even helped each other design our own websites. Jenny is the person I call when I need an ear to listen to my photography business related crisis or just someone who can relate to the ups and downs of running a business. Jenny introduced me to Casey at a photography meet up after we had become Instagram friends. Casey and I just clicked as we share so many of the same values and beliefs that it has been a joy to get to share with her a different aspect of my business and personal life and get to know her as she juggles being a mom, a teacher and a part time photographer. These are two amazing women that it has been a joy to work alongside. And so we decided we wanted to do a shoot together. We all love adventuring and exploring and Casey had recently been to Wahclella Falls. So we started brainstorming and came up with an Ethereal and Organic inspired elopement at the falls. We picked a date and got planning and it was simply easy to put this shoot together with them.
Below is a little look at the photos that I took from the day.
Feel free to go check out Casey and Jenny’s blogs today as they will each be sharing their own photos as well.
