What to Include In Your Wedding Photo Packing List

The more you prepare for your wedding, the more you get to enjoy every minute of the day. A photo packing list is one way that you can avoid having to answer hundreds of questions from your photographer on the day of your wedding.

Basically, your wedding photo packing list consists of all the items your photographer will want to photograph on the day, particularly while you’re getting ready.

While you might want to discuss this list with your photographer, here are a few items you will probably end up including anyway:

  1. A wedding invite. If you chose to print your invites, pack a full wedding invitation set that your photographer can capture before the day gets going.
  2. The rings. Chances are you won’t forget to pack your wedding and engagement ring, but it’s worth mentioning anyway. If you still have a ring box, bring this along too.
  3. The wedding accessories. Lay out all the accessories you and your partner will need on the day and add them to your photo packing list too. This includes everything from watches and wedding shoes to tie clips.
  4. Your wedding dress. Again, this is one of those items you certainly won’t forget, but it will be something your photographer will want to shoot, which is why you should add it to this list. It helps to have a nice hanger for your photos too.
  5. Flowers. Bouquets generally fall under the detail shot category, so make sure your photographer knows where to find your flowers on the day.
  6. Something old, new, borrowed, blue. If you are going the traditional route, put all of your something old, new, borrowed, and blue items together.
  7. The sentimental stuff. Adding anything extra such as a sentimental item to your outfit? Let your photographer know about it ahead of time.

This general list will give you a good idea of what your photographer will want to shoot on your day. Run through your packing list with your photographer to make sure you’re not missing anything.
