Lord Hill Farms Wedding // Rebekah & Brian

Rebekah & Brian had a beautiful Lord Hill Farms Wedding full of soft elegant rustic & romantic dusty pink and dark grey details.  Brian and Rebekah grew up in the same church their whole lives but didn’t get to know each other until they were 14 and 15 (high school group). They started hanging out and talking outside of church and within the first few weeks they knew they were the ones for each other but that they didn’t want to date until college. So a few years later after they had grown to be best friends, Brian finally asked Rebekah to be official and a few years after that he asked her to marry him. She of course said yes! He proposed by taking her on a double date (for photographers) to watch the sunrise at rattlesnake ridge with a picnic breakfast he put together himself! He then wanted to “take a picture” which is when he ended up popping the question! Surprisingly, Rebekah was actually surprised!

Their wedding day was nothing short of a fairy tale.  The weather stayed clear long enough for all of the important moments.  Twinkle lights, dahlias and garden roses were spread throughout the tables along with adorable honey stick favors and coloring books for the kids.  And although the decor was stunning, the emotions and excitement throughout the day were what made this wedding so amazing.  Brian gifted jewelry to both his mother and new mother-in-law, the maid of honor sang for their first dance, the toasts were so touching that not a single eye in the room was dry and everyone danced the night away.

I would love to hear about your vision, the unique details that you infused, any DIY projects that you did, etc
I wanted a soft & romantic feel to it. I DIY’d my favors, kid’s coloring books and questionnaire book. My gramps carved and painted all of our table numbers and our “Mr & Mrs” sign for the head table. My Grammie made the burlap squares and my dad made the wooden cross at our alter.

What was your wedding theme?
Soft elegant rustic & romantic.

What colors were used?
Light pink & dark grey

Please tell me what flowers were used in the centerpieces and other elements.
I mainly wanted dahlias, garden roses, Bruneian balls and dusty millers. Love Blooms did a great job incorporating the flowers I asked for with a collection of other flowers!

Favorite detail/decoration from your wedding?
The cross! Everyone complimented it and a couple couples have already asked to use it in their wedding! :) And of course my dress!!!

What are your favorite memories from your wedding?
The dancing with all my best friends and family! Wish the day had gone by slower, it was so great! :)

Any other special moments or decorations you want to tell us about that were important to you?
Carried my great grandma’s (Nonnie’s) handkerchief down the aisle as my something old! I also love that my best friend and maid of honor sang our first dance song as well as a sentimental song to my mom right before I walked down the aisle. I also loved having my aunt and uncle sing during the ceremony as well!
